Constant write activity on performance graph
I have noticed on the volume throughput graph on the performance tab in os6, that my 316 has constant "write" activity. Varies between 4 and 30 operations per second when the NAS is idle.
Top shows nothing unusual, only app running is LMS.
OS 6.1.7 .
No other apps running, same behaviour if LMS is turned off.
I'm assuming this must not be displaying actual write activity to the disks, or is it?
If it is then Is this normal behaviour?

- vandermerweMasterNetgear have confirmed that this behaviour is normal and the performance graph will always show background write activity. The appearance of a graph from one of their units was identical to mine.
It seems this activity is indeed related to log entries etc. - sotrackLuminaryThanks for feedback. I have reset NAS to "Factory Default" and turned off all services except SSH,HTTP and HTTPS. I got graph with "write" activities only.
inotify-tools application is installed by default in OS6 to monitor filesystem events. I have checked "write/read" activity for /var folder only. It is quite active.
#check "write" activity
inotifywait -mr -e modify /var
#check "read" activity
inotifywait -mr -e access /var - sotrackLuminaryA medicine for write activity
