Continuing existing remote backups after replacing existing NAS

There is an add-on you need: http://www.readynas.com/contributed/super-poussin/FreeDuo_1.7.bin Though I haven't used it - hopefully someone else will chime in.
Also, is it possible to secure the transfer or am I right in thinking, the remote ReadyNAS duo isn't powerful enough to support this?

(a) run full backup first time is an option on the RN204, so look again at that.
(b) It can be secured, and I recommend doing that. It requires installing a certificate on the systems.
