Continuing existing remote backups after replacing existing NAS

There is an add-on you need: http://www.readynas.com/contributed/super-poussin/FreeDuo_1.7.bin Though I haven't used it - hopefully someone else will chime in.
(a) run full backup first time is an option on the RN204, so look again at that.
(b) It can be secured, and I recommend doing that. It requires installing a certificate on the systems.

The performance with Rsync over SSH likely be quite poor with the Duo.
You may be better off getting another RN204 or perhaps rather than using Rsync over SSH setting up a box to box VPN between the two sites if your routers at each site support this.Thanks mdgm,
