Copy complete home share from one NAS to another?
Hi, What's the recommended way to copy the complete home share (ie all user shares) from one NAS to an other and retain the correct file permissions? Thanks, Sunday Afternoon
If you want to copy from one NAS to a public share on another NAS, you can use rsync with the Frontview backup manager. If you want to copy from a home share on one NAS to a home share on another NAS, you could probably do it by NFS exporting the target home shares and using the backup manager over NFS, one home share at a time.
