Orbi App completely not working
Yesterday my app all of a sudden couldnt locate my RB50 router but could locate the 2 satellites. Got the grey light for router and green for satellites. I could also see all of my devices and internet still worked. Tried to trouble shoot and tried to search for any firmware updates through the app but kept gettting an error and to skip. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and now I can't set my router up at all through the app. Keeps saying router not found but my wifi is working. I just can't use my app at all at this point. Also cannot log in as admin via the web either. Any help/recommendations is greatly appreciated.
FYI for Apple device users;
Others have reported doing a factory reset and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser first on the RBR, once it's setup, try accessing with the Orbi app.

Orbi app not connecting to router but Wi-Fi working
Does anyone know if netgear aware of this problem and working on a fix?

Perhaps I am mistaken, but setting up the router and accessing the router are two different things. In order to "set up" the router, all user configuration would have to be erased (Factory Reset). This would be disruptive to say the least.
Alas, you may be facing a Factory Reset anyway. When a login to the web interface is rejected three times in a row, the Password Reset screen comes up and offers to reset the password when given the router serial number and correct response to some security questions. The very first time I attempted this process, I could never get it to accept my responses. Did the Factory Reset and during the next setup I was very deliberate about (a) pulling down the security question choices (b) picking one and (c) writing down the exact way I entered the response. Once the router was going again, I forced a password reset by entering a bad password three times in a row, and the password reset worked correctly. (I set the password to what it was all along. No requirement to 'change'.)

Sorry for the confusion. My router is already set up and working I just can't access it throught the app. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled but it says "router not found" so I can't access or view my network through the app.
The phone/tablet running the Orbi app is connected to the Orbi primary WiFi network, correct? (not the guest network)
Do you have another device that the app can be loaded on? (I have the app on two smartphones and two tablets.)

I rather imagine that with the app no longer being able to find the router, it is too late to take a screen shot of this grey circle?
I cannot find anyone who has ever seen that color on the app.
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
I know this is for an Orbi system, however you might give this a try as it worked for me in getting the Nighthawk app connected. Might work same for Orbi app:

I have two iPhones one has been updated and one has not. The one running the latest IOS is not connecting to the router and shows a error message that is not connected. The one running the older IOS is running the app just fine.

Let us know if this process I did on the NH app works for the Orbi app:

Since the Orbi update on Apple yesterday same problem. Surely someone can answer the question without stupid guesses as to the problem. Not happy with the replies to this thread.
- megalodonInitiateSame issue here. No mobile device. Hardwired Windows browser. Can’t access webpage: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Tried both HTTP and HTTPS.
- GinamayInitiateSame thing happened last night. Orbi router got disconnected all of a sudden, then I unplugged the power source and it was back running after plugging it back in. But the app isn’t detecting the router anymore even with anywhere access. Although the network is working fine just the app not detecting. So has there been a solution to this. I don’t want to factory reset like other says I’m afraid it won’t even find the router ever again.
- MB_LoveApprenticeOnly solution so far is factory reset. Total BS, and an inexcusable error by Netgear.

Same problem here. I just updated to the latest firmware today hoping it would help with ongoing stability issues with the satellites - and as soon as the router had the new FW I could no longer connect to it via browser or apps. I could see the moment it happened as I was doing a manual update via the browser connection to the router. It said it was updating - and then the browser couldn't connect to the router anymore.
Like others, I am not keen to do a factory reset for the hassle as well as the fact that the internet is working, and I don't want to mess with that.
We are not super tech savvy, and we thought we were getting a user-friendly solution to our ho
I am also having the exact same issue with my Orbi AX4200 WiFi 6 Mesh System (RBK754) on the exact same date as the OP and several others here. Both wired and WiFi networks are working fine. The Orbi router RBR750 is working normally and two satellites are working normally.
The Orbi app shows the RBR750 with a grey dot but both Orbi satellites show green dots as usual.
The app message: "Unable to connect"/"Try again" continues to show up no matter what actions have been taken including rebooting the RBR750, the cable modem, etc.
All iOS settings are checked and correct.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Orbi app and it now longer finds any WiFi - although as mentioned, it's all working normally.
No settings on the iPhone, Orbi or the cable broadband were changed in the past few months. The Orbi app just stopped recognizing the Orbi RBR750.
Seems unlikely that we all would be running into the exact same issue at the exact same time. It sounds more likely to be a Netgear issue with their app IMHO.
- Spending close to $1000 on a system where the app can’t connect through no fault of your own - imagine 🤣
I have a feeling ALL systems are affected because most people don’t mess with their system through their app once set up. I do all the time due to parental controls.Agreed. I've set up networks both at home, for our church, etc. for years using both Netgear and D-Link routers and switches with no problem. Orbi's mesh system seems to work well when it's working, but Netgear's attention to detail on the UI side leaves a lot to be desired.
I noted that it wanted to perform a firmware update but it couldn't since it wouldn't connect with the router. Now that it won't connect to anything, I don't know if the update would have helped or not.
Flat disappointed.
- JamaldnbGuideSame, purchased a new system after a firmware update bricked my RB50 system (only 5 years old) and was told to buy a new one from net gear. Got the RB752 and had a hell of a time setting it up. Then suddenly can’t access it from the app, ethernet or wireless from any access point. Called NG tech support and was told it’s a known issue and to hold tight lol and try to regain access periodically with no end date. I have 30 days to return this unit and switch brands, which I may do if this keeps up. I see I’m not the only one in net-gear purgatory
I spoke to Netgear. They are aware of the issue. They recommend a factory reset which I do NOT want to do. A software update is in the works. Emergency red flag priority ticket has been open and escalated. Netgear initiated an automatic software update all across the board. This caused the issue. Netgear why didn't you all tested in the lab prior to deploying the software?? Netgear/Engineering team if you are reading this PLEASE have a toggle button option (on/off) on the GUI so that those that don't want the update can turn it off. Let's get the ball rolling and fix this ASAP!!
- Any time frame on the software update? And even when available is a factory reset still needed
