Hello superandy07,

Is the Ubuntu server connected directly to the same switch/router where the NAS is? Do you have any apps running on the NAS at the same time when backup is running? Please post the ReadyNAS firmware version too.

It's currently set up like this :Server > Airport Extreme > Unmanaged Switch > ReadyNAS

There's no apps running that I'm aware of, would the anti-virus count?

The firmware is 6.4.1

  There is a known issue with the anti-virus service at the moment. You could try disabling the anti-virus service and see what difference that makes.

    Well I disabled the anti-virus and now it is copying data without any issues :smileyhappy:
    
    I'll report back once everything has copied over.
