Copy/move between shares is sloooooooooooow...
I have SSH'd into my 316 and am doing cp and mv's... trying to move a bunch of data from one share to another (/data/share1 to /data/share2). It's slow. Like, really slow (maybe 90 seconds per GB)...

ajaxplorer is running on the NAS, so it will always do a real move (assuming you stay within the same volume).
Windows 7 should be doing the same if you are accessing via \\nas\C, not sure why that isn't happening.
Though one thing did occur to me - if windows is set up to allow off-line access to the files, then the PC is keeping its own copies of things. In that case, there are always copies being made over the network. So that might be something else to look at.
