corrupt root on rnd2000 v2
Hi there, So i have a RND2000v2 (says so on the bottom of the unit) Last time i powered it... almost 1.5 years ago, since then i`ve removed the old disks and never did power it up since. ...

and finally made my unit boot up and used TFTP to install a firmware
all is good :D

The labels don't mean what you think they mean, and the instructions you used were for the duo v1 (which uses a sparc processor), not the v2 (which uses an arm processor).
If you are running 4.1.x firmware in the NAS then you have a v1. If you are running 5.3.x you have a v2.
