Crashplan for Dummies, aka Step by Step :)
I have just went through this and have seen several folks post that they wish there was an all inclusive guide, I just bought a Pro 2 and so far I am pleased with what I see under the hood (looks like...

In my case the solution was as follows:
Now happily backing-up - Although, I expect it's also merrily filling-up the root with log files - so in a few weeks once I've built up the energy to have another go I'll try in fix this too!

apt-get remove busybox-cpio
apt-get install cpio
