Java: would it be worth updating every now and then? What is the procedure? Also, I read somewhere else that you can install Java by apt-get. Do we still need to run the add-on to install the headless Java?
Virtual memory: so what about the reccomendation to increase it you gave a few pages ago? Does it still apply?
Max number of file: it was recommended to increase the max number of file to 8192. When I installed CP the install said that the max number of files set on my system was 8192. Shall I assume that Netgear have increased the value over time and we don't have to increase that anymore?
Remote access: one of the reasons because I like CP is that I don't have to keep my home PC on all the time. Power-wise my NAS is much more economical to drive than my home PC!
