Creating backup on my ReadyNAS 6.10.1

I've been running into some issues trying to create a backup for my existing drives, the backup process runs smoothly and when i take it out and put it back in 5-10 minutes after, my drive is dead!
This is my first week working with my NAS, and I'm still trying to figure things out, so I'm not sure if its the Volume type (given that its only letting me choose JBOD) that might cause this problem or if I'm not following any safety measures to "Safely Eject it" if possible but i couldn't find that option anywhere

I am thinking that you are doing something wrong.

Are you inserting an internal drive info the NAS to make the backup?  If not, can you explain more completely what you are doing.
