Cannot create backup from NETGEAR GS724T configuration.

Hello,
I cannot create backup from NETGEAR GS724T configuration. Get an error

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

  • I found a way to fix the issue. I had to use old versions of Internet Explorer to be able to do that.

    Thank you!

    Rostam,

What is the current firmware version of your GS724T?

To backup the configuration file from the GS724T, on the web-GUI, go to Maintenance > Upload > HTTP File Upload.  On the File Type list, select Text Configuration and click Apply.

To restore the configuration file to the GS724T, on the web-GUI, go to Maintenance > Download > HTTP File Download.  On the File Type list, select Text Configuration. Then, click the Browse button to locate the configuration file and click Apply.

Any Magic Internet "security" code blocking certain files, extensions, content, JavaScript, ... on your computer, or on a Proxy?

      Rostam,

Just want to follow-up on this.  Kindly try to update the firmware of your GS724TS to the latest version in a ladderized manner.  First, update the firmware from v5.1.0.2 to v5.2.0.5.  Then, update the firmware from v5.2.0.5 to v5.2.0.8 and so on until you update to the latest version which is v5.2.0.11.  Then check if you can now create a backup of the configuration.

You can download the GS724TS firmware versions here
