No. OS Re-install leaves data intact. A factory default wipes all data, settings, everything.

1. Press and hold the reset button
2. Turn NAS on
3. Release reset button after first blink of LEDs (about 5 seconds). On the NV+ you should see "5: OS Re-install" (or something similar) on the LCD.
