Thanks, my friend, for your promt reply. I will wait for next week or 2 before doing it. I must take the time to redo a full backup, in case of ...
I just bought a NAS from another company (DS211+ from Synology). What do you believe would be the best way for me to backup my NV+ that has about 1.5TB?
1) I'm on a 100MB network, but can attach directly the 2 NASes to a 1GB router. I think of using the file copy feature in their DSM 3.1 NAS software instead of doing it through the File Explorer of a Windows wirelessly networked computer which I believe will slow the process ?!
2) I'm unable to find this kind of feature on the NV+ software (I mean, to be able to give the command of copying files within the NAS instead of through an external computer). Does it exist? Or maybe not on the NV+ but on the latest Ultra models ?!
Thank you so much for your input, my friend. I'm seeing your signature (mdgm) for many years now on this forum, which make me trust your advices even if you're not from the "offficial" tech support team. But for me it's almost like if you would be part of Netgear :-)
