Desperately need data on a unit with dead NIC
I have ready many posts that the ReadyNAS Duo v2 has NIC issues. My NIC is dead and i have tried all the troubleshooting from other posts. I desperately need access to my Data though. My warranty is ...
Why did you do that?
The drives will only work in a readynas that has the same platform on it (sparc). That is the v1 versions of the duo and nv+.
You cannot do what you propose.
You will need to copy the data onto a USB drive, then restore it to the new NAS.
Is it possible for you to return the duo v2? it would have been more sensible to have bought a 102 or 312, assuming of course that these are within your budget.
