Destination Path Questions
OK, I have set up several backups but only tested one and received unexpected results and canceled out.
For the Source I choose Share:Media and the Destination i choose USB Front Port. I left the Path fields blank. When I looked at the USB drive during the backup, it was creating all the subdirectories of the Media share on the root of the USB drive. I am assuming that if I ran my other three jobs, all of the subdirectories from the other shares will also be backed up to the root of the USB drive. That may be a problem if I have two subdirectories on different shares have the same name.
I expected to see a Media folder containing the subdirectories. So if I want each backup job (a separate share) Do I...
1. need to let the back up job finish as it will reorgainze them into a subfolder after it is done?
2. need to enter a path in the destination and the back up job will create it if it does not exist?
3. need to create a subdirectory on the USB first and then enter that in the path field for the destination?
My NV+V1 is running RAIDiator 4.1.10 so I checked the RAIDiator 4.1 manual and it references a choice "All Home Shares" which it defines as:
My source drop down does not contain that option, but it sounds like what I need.

All home shares. Available in only the source drop-down list, this option backs up all the private home shares, each to its own folder on the destination.
My source drop down does not contain that option, but it sounds like what I need.

Set the path as 'media' on the destination to create files in that path.
Home Shares are per user, not your regular shares. - JustKJAspirantThanks chirpa for the concise answer, I just want to be sure on the syntax I can enter just the word "media"--obviously no quotation marks, but no slashes or other delimiters?
- JustKJAspirantI found it out. Just the word was all it needed. Thanks again.
