Disk 2 fail. I change it but nothing happens!!!

How i can check the status of my backup? I am not able to connect to Readynas because i have forgot the user name and password.
I will be able to connect via Raidar if my Lan connections are via switch box (because of the network), or i need to connect directly, with the one end of the cable in my pc and the other end in the readynas?
The fail disk and all the other 3 are Seagate and the new one is Western Digital. (it is in the approved list).
