Disk Scrubbing / Online File System Consistency Check
Quick question,
How often are you folks running these? I've got mine running every 2 weeks. Is that too often for you folks? Note: it never disrupts me because I have it set to off hours. I could technically do it every week but I think it's overkill.
Also - Is there a way to NOT get an email Alert every time it starts and finishes these tasks? I only want an email if it encounters an error but I don't see how you can turn it off.
I'm on a ReadyNas Pro 6 with firmware 4.2.20.
It's not a big deal, just curious more than anything else.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThe process does work the disks pretty hard (reading every sector in the raid array). I didn't schedule it before (because of a bug in the older firmware), but am now thinking I should run it every 8 weeks.
- I think i have mine set for 2 weeks - fsck, 6 or 8 weeks scrub
- pvong1AspirantThanks! I was thinking 2 weeks was a little much for scrubbing. I went ahead and extended that to 8 weeks also and left the fsck at 2 weeks.
