Do 6Gb/s disks perform much better than 3Gb/s in the Ultra6?
I got 6 of the 2TB Caviar Green WD20EARS from the compatibility list to add to my new ultra6. I have been copying the data from my old nv+ to the new ultra6 and plan to upgrade the nv+ to new drive...

As MDGM advised SATA III disks won't do you much good in any Readynas. That said, I am NOT a fan of the WD20EARS as many users have had odd and random failures with them.
If you are looking for quality, reliable disks stick with Enterprise disks such as the Seagate Constellation or WD RE3 disks. The best of the consumer disks are the Hitachi 7K2000 or 7K3000 if your NAS models supports them.
