Does NV+ V2 support RAM Upgrade
I just bought a NV+ v2 and since it came with 256MB of RAM, I assumed it is upgradable to 1GB just like the others. I can't seem to find any instructions on upgrading the RAM anywhere and I ended up opening the box. There is no memory slot on top of the box like it existed for the NV+. Can someone let me know if the RAM is upgradable?

While I do agree it's very disappointing that RAM is not upgradable, however, the performance is very good nonetheless.
I've had no problems in the last 6 months with the Duo v2. Excellent device. Keep the firmware upgrades coming!!! - Hmm perhaps the os uses less ram on the v2s?
If it's definite that torrents with transmission on the nv+ v2 are stable I might look into getting it, the unit can be got for £150 at the moment.
I presume that my 2 disks from my duo v1 cannot be transferred into the nv+ v2? I will have to do a backup to a usb drive and then restore the data to the nv+ once set up, and then format the disks from the duo v1? - I've been torrenting via the Duo v2 to an external USB drive and it's been working great. No issues. (Using the 3rd party Torrent addon).
Lastly, you are correct. The drives cannot be directly transferred into the new NAS. I also had to backup on an external disk before upgrading to the v2 from v1. - The Duo v2 does have a much faster CPU than the original Duo which I reckon would make a big difference.
