Does RN716x support Registered DIMMs
I would like to extend my RN716x boxes to 32GB of memory. I can only find 6GB modules with registered ECC while the default modules are unbuffered. Does the memory controller of the RN716x also support Registered ECC memory?
My apologies, RN716X has only 2 DIMM slots which are already maxed out at 16GB in total. Also, the processor might support RDIMMs but I think that RN716X DIMM slots support only un-buffered(i.e. non-registered) ECC DIMM or non-ECC DIMM.
Hope this helps!
Regards

Here's the supported specification
DDR3 UDIMM with ECC
Two Channels per system and up to two DIMMs-per-channel in total 4 DIMMs
Supports up to 32GB Max
Supports single-rank or dual-rank modules
DDR3-1066,DDR3-1333
RDIMM is not supported as per the spec
Hope this helps!

Marc_VThanks for the spec. When looking at https://content.hwigroup.net/images/products_1920x1080/206509/4/netgear-readynas-rn716x.jpg I can only see two sockets for memory modules but you are writing about 4 DIMMs per system. It would be great if you clarify this.
Thanks!
