Dear members,I have made a share for my family to download from. They can access over HTTPS the share and log in on the share. They can create on the share and change but not download anything. What do I do wrong?

Dear members, I have a ReadyNas Ultra6. I have made a share: family with read and write for CIFS and HTTPS and hosts with permission whit there IP-adresses. They can access and create on the share and change but they can`t download anything. Please help?

How did you set the permissions in "Advanced CIFS Permission"?Also, is everyone in your family using the same username/password?

Ideally all your family members would be in the same user group. Did you set it up that way?Through frontview, select Shares, then Share Listing on the left menu. Then click on the CIFS icon for the share. If you scroll down, you will see a "advanced cifs permission" section.-check the box next to "Automatically set permissions on new files and folders."-Set the group rights to "read/write"-If the users are in different groups, set "everyone" to read/writethen click the apply button at the bottom. This should solve your problem for new files.Next, you need to solve it for the existing files. Select the "advanced options" tab at the top right. You will see a "advanced share permission" section.-Set "Share folder owner" to nobody-Set the "Share folder group" to the group the users are in. (If you didn't set this up, set it to nogroup).-Set "Share folder owner rights" to read/write -Set "Share folder group rights" to read/writeIf users are in different groups, set "Share folder everyone rights" to read/writeClick apply at the bottom. What or how must I set up the dyndns? What I have was also said step by step for me.

There isn't anything on the ReadyNAS that you need to set up for dyndns. You either configure it in your router or (more likely) install the dyndns app on your PC.

I mean at my account DYNdns. There are different methods to made something. Must I made a new host service at my account? OK I made one and via the browser to dyndns and it is still the same. The same log in and just a file for file to download and not a whole map. So what can I do?

I am confused about what you are asking.

Is your dyndns already configured to let you access your home router? If not, what are you using it for?

I did exactly what you said. Made via dyndns a connection to my router and it is the same as https connection, they can only download one song instead of the whole map with songs.

I think you must mean "folder" when you say "map"???

filezilla will download/upload folders.

Anyway, you telling me that when I or they use filezilla it will work. So I can use HTPPS instead of FTPS?

You can use the https method for moving individual files through the broswer, or use FileZilla FTP for either individual transfers or folders. ReadyNAS doesn't do ftps, but it does support "explicit FTP over TLS"
