Duo v2 gains a few features (e.g. 3TB drive support, ReadyNAS Photos II), but it loses some others. Take a look at the Comparison Charts. The Duo v2 performance is much improved over the Duo (v1). The ARM CPU is much faster than the Sparc one.
For an existing ReadyNAS user, I'd recommend an Ultra 2 as an upgrade from the Duo (v1).
