Sorry for the odd topic-title, but I thought my Readysnas Duo had Gbit connection, but either i'm wrong og plain confused, here's a screenshot of what i'm talking about:http://i.imgur.com/bZTPd.pngThe Speed/Duplex is what i'm curious about, is my Nas just too old for Gbit?

It's showing you're connected with a 1000 Mbit (i.e. gigabit connection). Status: Online / 1000 Mbit / Full-DuplexIf the Speed/Duplex mode is set to auto-negotiate the NAS will auto-negotiate a gigabit connection where available.

That was kinda what I was hoping for, but I only get around 10-11MB/s which is equal to a 100Mbit, so I really don't get, if I hook up my old laptop which also has Gbit network, I get speeds atleast at 65MB/s.

Is that reads/writes? The Duo (v1) is using several year old hardware. I've found writes to be quite slow (about what you'd get from a 100 Mbit connection, but reads are quicker)

Did you look at the duo's network stats and the disk health?What protocol are you using for the speed test? What is the network path between the NAS and the client device? What firmware are you running?

Had to work hence the late reply, I installed them today, and I just tried to turn it of and start it again, the blue light just keeps flashing, I guess it hates me for al my complaints about it hehe.

Can you see it in RAIDar (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/)?

It's possible the disks could have still been undergoing the initial resync which would explain the performance.

No luck with RAIDar, tried it earlier, and the blue led still flashes, i'll let it flash til tomorrow morning ( in 6-7 hours ) hopefully you're right, and it's "just" doing a resync.

Well, I took out my Red HDD inserted my Green, factory reset, and here are some screenshots:

And that's faster than what you'd get over 100 Mbit

How many WD RED disks did you have in the NAS?

1 WD Red 2TB which I couldn't get to work.
and yes the 14MB/s is more than 100Mbit I know.

You should check that disk using WD LifeGuard Diagnostics.
