Duo V2 HTTP redirect on share
Hey guys,
I have a readynas duo v2, and am trying but failing to set up a share for web development. I can't see anywhere within the front view where I can control HTTP redirect? The tutorials on the site are for the older versions (http://www.readynas.com/?p=135). I'm just stuck on setting up a share which I can reach.
I'd be grateful for any threads or help.

- EllaVaderAspirantQuestion about this. I have v 5.3.5-T19 and I do see the ability to enable HTTP service (which I have enabled).
I created a share called "web" however I am not seeing anywhere in FrontView the ability to set up the re-direct, which I thought was mentioned in a previous post by @mdgm.
Is there something that I'm missing, or do we still need to perform the manual steps as mentioned above? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe manual steps and add-on above are for 5.3.4 and earlier only. Don't use them with 5.3.5 or later. I would recommend uninstalling the add-on or manually reverting the changes before updating to 5.3.5.
In 5.3.5 setting this up works similarly to how it was done in Frontview: http://www.readynas.com/?p=135
1. First open the Dashboard, click Configure, go to Shares, add the share (if not already created), select the share, under Sharing Protocols enable HTTP.
2. On the same page under Share Properties, scroll across and select HTTP. Give everyone read-only access and allow Anonymous access
3. On the Dashboard click Configure, go to System. Under Services click on HTTP and make sure it is enabled.
Redirect default web access to this share: webserver (or whatever you called the share, you can select if from a drop-down list)
Login authentication to this share: disabled
Then click Apply.
It appears at least from my initial testing that the login authentication to this share disabled setting isn't working nor is the http redirect but it should be fixed in a later beta. - rc3675AspirantHi,
I'm using 5.3.5 and am having problems seeing my webpage. Can anyone help me?
I've created a new share and set the http share access to 'Everyone' 'Read Only'
I've then gone into Services and selected HTTP and set the redirect to 'website' (the name of my new share)
Thirdly I've created an index.html for that share
I then test locally by entering http://192.168.0.210/index.html and I just get the following message
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.html on this server.
Also if I enter just http://192.168.0.210 it diverts and goes to the dashboard on https://192.168.0.210/admin/
Do you think the redirect not working, or maybe I not set something corrrectly? - StephenBGuru - Experienced Userhttp://192.168.0.210/website works?
- rc3675AspirantThanks StephenB
That works :D
For reference for anyone who may see this problem:
The details on http://www.readynas.com/?p=135 do not show the share in the URL (in does in the picture, but not in the text) - KillerBobAspirantHi,
For me, the http://IPADRESS/sharename works via the web. However, as this is just the one share I redirect to for http traffic, is it not possible to see all the shares like in the bigger ReadyNASes? I have the Pro and the Dou Ultra, and on these I can see all the shares...
/Bo - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredGo to http://ip.address.of.nas/webshare and you will see all the shares for which you have enabled HTTP access.
- ciarpameTutorI have issues too. (on nv+ v2 but I assume the firmware is almost the same)
I've created a new share, enabled http and set the http share access to Everyone>Read Only. I try to access with http://mynasip/sharename and I get this message:
Not Found
The requested URL /sharename was not found on this server.
Anyway, If I go to http://mynasip/webshare/ I see my shared folder listed.
It seems so simple, I can't understand where could be the mistake.
I'm on 5.3.6
Thanks for your help. - SegranTutorI can't access the web share (using http://readynas_ip/web_share/index.htm). "The requested URL/web_share was not found on this server. http://readynas_ip/admin works fine. I can view the files in the web_share by clicking on web_share in the Dashboard Shares.
What should I enter in HTTPS settings, (Port 2 and SSL Key Host)? - BiffmeisterAspirant

I've done these steps but when i am about to select which folder to use for web access i get an error message saying;
"your connection may be lost due to a possible change of the IP address of this device. Please use the RAIDar utility to reconnect"
I haven't changed the IP address and RAIDar looks fine.
Any suggestions?
I have a Readynas NV+ v2 with FW 5.3.8 and using Win7
