OK. . .I followed the instructions and got the system ready for Crashplan. I also managed to modify it so that I could load the debian package for SpiderOak, as well.
However, I'm STILL curious about my original question. Anyone out there using Egnyte that has figured this out? I can't seem to find anyone with positive Egnyte experiences.
