First of all, thank you for your interest in Egnyte. I wanted to clear up some confusion about Egnyte capabilities for the ReadyNAS. Egnyte Local Cloud syncs files under the /shared folder and stores it online, which acts as a remote backup. But Local Cloud's primary purpose is to provide online/offline access and collaboration of those files, from anywhere, with any device. It's much more than just a backup service.
We also want our customers to have the best user experience, which means a successful on-boarding process. Here are some helpdesk articles on Local Cloud capabilities and data migration. I would also like to connect you with our Professional Services and Support team. They can walk you through the setup process and assist you with any technical questions you might have.
