@HERBEIO,
Yes sir. I have noticed this 'default' behavior since v5.3.2. Waiting for a way to defeat this still.
@StephenB,
Thank you.
Per 'my mistake', let us just agree to disagree. Should I have a pending disk failure, either I can NOT view the NAS in Net Neighborhood, or, RAIDar would not see/display my NAS. I check my NAS monthly and print out my SMART results. I accept that EM drive platter failures fail (grow) over time. Still, my NAS is not the pinnacle of my LAN. It is my file storage/archival device. I fully expect that my EM drives will fail/crash over time. Yes, I am getting close to my 'worry-zone' because I have ~4 years of use from my current 500MB 'surveillance rated' pair of drives. I know that they are now hard to replace.
I do not live in the 'Want the biggest HD' club. I buy known reliable spares that live on the Netgear HCL; and, then I hope for the best.
I am just trying to get my new DUO-V2 up and running so I can FINALLY backup my old DUO-V1. Nothing more. The DUO-V2 is a frustrating beast!
