Well two alternating jobs as discribed in OP but using remote Windows/NAS (timestamp) also results in 'destination cannot be accessed.' on the alternate incremental job.

If it is using timestamps (presumably comparing source file to possibly existing file in destination) WHY should it not work?

or is 'remote Windows/NAS (timestamp)' an independent setting to the 'options: shedule full backup & remove the contents of the backup destination before full backup' setting?
ie set to full everytime & no not delete destination, but the remote (timestamp) takes care of the incremental bit?
(I have red the doco btw, not particularly edifying...)

No. Can't get two independent incrementals to work. 'share' based I can maybe understand, but '...(Timestamp)' should work. I call a bug!
Two fulls it is, what a waste of space time continuim. Time & power is money...
