Error starting ReadyDLNA service
I just did a factory restore on a 1100 due to drive issues and now I get an error when trying to start ReadyDLNA. The error message is "Error starting ReadyDLNA service"
I have a NV+ running on the same network and it has no issues.
I don't have a clue where to start.
Suggestions? :)
Also, does anyone know where I can get some more screws for the drive cages? I've been through my screw bag and none of them fit exactly.
TIA. :)

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of RAIDiator is on the 1100? Have you ensured ReadyDLNA is configured correctly?
Have you tried clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer)?
Regarding replacement screws try contacting NetGear tech support. - 6speed1AspirantBoth the NV+ and the 1100 are running RAIDiator 4.1.12 and ReadyDLNA 1.1.0.
The config for ReadyDLNA is the share is media and all content types.
What does a web browser cache have to do with ReadyDLNA? I'll try it.
I thought so on the screws, LOL - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI guess it's unlikely to help resolve the issue, but clearing the cache would help rule out an old version of Frontview or old settings being cached.
- 6speed1AspirantDo you think it could be a hardware issue?
I have another chassis I'm going to try next. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI don't think it would be a hardware issue. Have you tried rebooting the ReadyNAS to see if that helps?
- 6speed1AspirantYeah, rebooting. I even pulled all the drives, installed a fresh un-formatted drive and I still get the same error.
A factory restore with the latest RAIDiator made me think hardware, not software.
It's most likely something dumb that I missed and am going to be pissed when I figure it out. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat web browser and version are you using?
- 6speed1AspirantChrome 28.0 and Firefox 21.0.
I am accessing both the NV+ (which is running DLNA fine) and the 1100 (which is giving me DLNA error) from the same computer, on the same network, and on the same hub.
I cleared the cache using Firefox and got the same error starting and stopping the DLNA service.
I guess the thing to do would be install the software so I can get to the root directory and see if there is a log that would contain a better error message. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you download the logs (Status > Logs > Download all logs) and extract the zip contents tae a look at upnp-av.log
You may also wish to install the Toggle Devug add-on: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=27946, try starting ReadyDLNA again and download the logs again and have another look. - 6speed1Aspirant

Thanks. I'll give it a try. :)
