Error when trying to delete snapshot
Tried using another topic that´s related to this problem but since I didn´t get any answers I will try creating a separate topic.
My volumes are filling up with data and I regularly manually deletes snapshots to free data. But since some months ago I´m not able to do so. I get an error when i try.

Anyone have a clue what to do?

You got mail!
:D
/Martin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSome of your snapshots were not upgraded when you updated to 6.2.4 recently. Sent you a PM.
- JMcIntoshAspirantHi,
I am seeing the same error

Error in Delete Snapshot
Was is the magic sauce to delete these snapshots.
Best, JMc - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredJMcintosh, your error has a different number and your system came with 6.2.x so it is a different issue.
I would suggest turning off snapshot access then trying to delete the snapshots again.
To turn off snapshot access,
Go to Shares, click on the share, click on Settings and under properties uncheck Allow Snapshot Access.
Don't forget to click Apply.
If it still does not work try rebooting your NAS and try again
Let us know if this helps. - JMcIntoshAspirantmdgm,
Snapshot access was not enabled. I enabled snapshot access and then was able to delete snapshots.
Thanks for the tip.
JMc - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retiredmartin991's system has been fixed. Just had a look remotely. After deleting the snapshots that had not been upgraded deleting snapshots using the web admin interface worked fine again.
Recommended a defrag and balance.
Considering the volume has never been defragmented since it was created back in 2013 it will take some time. - martin9911AspirantI just want to say that mdgm helped me in a perfect way! Thank you so much for professional and rapid support!
Defraging, balance and then adding an extra drive.
A thought, I waited quite a long time updating the OS so there where a 3-4 editions newer when I finally updated. (going from 6.2.? to 6.2.4) Could that be a reason that snapshots where not updated? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou went from 6.1.7 to 6.2.4 if I recall correctly.
Not sure why they weren't upgraded. They are upgraded when you first go to 6.2.0.
Anyway after running some volume maintenance and adding the additional disk, once the resync has completed and volume expanded hopefully you'll see the performance has improved a bit.
If you still have issues let me know. - JaceSTKAspirantHmmm got exactly the same error message while trying to erase the snapshops because I have also upgraded my readynas 104 from 6.1 to 6.2.4!
So what I have to make ? I can't erase manually the snapshot but what about the database from the GUI?
thank you.
(I think Netgear should solve this problem)
