Just spotted the description text for the "Export" operation may be incorrect on 6.10.5 Hotfix 1

Agreed, that definitely looks wrong.
Not specific to your finding, but I hope you aren't actually doing an export of your primary volume. That's not normally used with a primary volume. If you are moving it to another NAS, you just move it with power off. Exporting it will make it no longer function as a primary volume.
