Extraordinary SLOW performance on ReadyNAS NV+

I'm not certain it will, but I think it is worth trying.
BTW USB backup is slow with the v1, it is much quicker to back it up over the network to a USB drive connected to a PC. That is especially true if you have a gigabit connection.
