What firmware is your NAS running?
Can you access the NAS web ui by entering https://nas-ip-address/admin in your browser address bar?

The NAS admin UI ( https://nas-ip-address/admin )will tell you that, as will RAIDar ( https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar ).
If you entered the correct model number (ReadyNAS 1100 - which is a 4-bay rack mount), then the firmware should be 4.1.x. If the model was entered incorrectly, then it might also be 4.2.x, 5.3.x, or 6.x.x. A picture of the 1100 is below.

That means a disk has failed (or been removed).

Hi stephen,
Thanks for getting back to me.
The model on the front says Ready Nas NV + v2. I've attached an image if that helps?

That should be running 5.3.x firmware. Have you tried logging into the admin ui (using https://nas-ip-address/admin)? RAIDar will tell you the NAS IP address; you can also get it from your router (and perhaps the NAS LCD panel).
