Alright, there are about 4 or 5 different things going on in this thread. The original topic was about 4.2.5, that's long been dealt with. Users are talking about 4.1.7, 4.2.17, advanced CIFS permissions, files becoming read only after having been opened in an application, etc.
Everyone, please make your own thread about your issue. I'm not asking you guys to do this just to sound like a jerk, but that way we can actually keep track of which details belong to your specific problem. If you already have a thread, please update that instead.
