Filters only with rsync?

I want to set up backup jobs on an RN104 to back up 5 Windows 7 PCs. I notice to my slight consternation that filters (files & folders to be excluded) can only be specified for rsync based backup jobs. When you specify a windows source, the relevant input boxes are greyed out. Also greyed out is the "remove deleted files on target" checkbox. I seems perverse that I would need to install rsync on my PCs to get access to features as basic as these. But if somebody can recommend an rsync agent for my windows PCs, I might give it a go...

The other thing I'm wondering: when I create a backup job from a windows source, I can't set the "remove deleted files on target" checkbox. So how will my backup job behave? Will it or won't it remove deleted files from target?

And again: any recommendations for a windows rsync agent to work with ReadyNAS? Thanks in advance...

These are options that Rsync provides. It is a protocol designed for backups. I recommend using e.g. DeltaCopy on Windows, but replacing the Rsync etc. utilities with newer ones from Cygwin.

It won't. The "remove deleted files on target" is an Rsync option.
