Which firmware is on this unit? You can check e.g. in RAIDar.
The default password varies depending on which unit you have and which firmware.
If it is a NV+ running RAIDiator 4.x then it is 'netgear1' (no quotes)
If it is a NV+ v2 running RAIDiator 5.3.x then it is 'password' (no quotes)
If you have a NV+ running RAIDiator 3.x (not sure why you'd want to still run 10 year old firmware but anyway...) then it is 'infrant1' (no quotes)
Also as the v2 is a very different product the boot menu procedure is completely different for it compared with the one for the v1.
