Frontview only partially working; no shares currently accessible

Of course if you did a factory reset, all your data was destroyed.
http://nas-ip-address redirects to http://nas-ip-address/shares. That will only give you a share list if you have http enabled as a protocol for some shares. Http is not enabled by default (if I remember correctly).
Are you seeing the admin interface when you connect to https://nas-ip-address/admin? (use the real NAS ip address of course). If you did factory reset (or OS reinstall) the username is admin and the password is netgear1.

Thanks for coming back so promptly. This is the screen I'm presented with if I navigate either via RAIDar or the IP address of the NAS. It normally displays options down the left hand side but since this problem has manifest, nothing is available.
I wasn't aware a factory reset deleted all hard-drive data - my bad - thanks for the clarification. Fortunately I have all my media backed up in other locations. Once the NAS is back on line I'll get it going again.
Any thoughts?
