FTP Access Problems
I have a readynas NV + v2 and am having real difficulties with the ftp access rights.
I have set up various users, a specific share and enabled ftp access protocol. Only 1 out of 3 users can actually obtain access to the share in question. To be clear, I have home shares enabled and each user can see their own share but not all shares that have been enabled.
I as the owner and administrator am 1 of the 3 users set up and can see other ftp shares enabled but not the share in question. I have tried resetting the file permissions, I have unticked the permission for each of the users and even rebooted the readynas, but nothing seems to resolve the matter.
Any ideas, please help.
Thanks

- Fireblade69AspirantAn update.
I accessed the RAIDar and checked the settings this morning and the FTP shares in question are all unticked with no one having access but when I tried to access the FTP remotely all users had access to the shared files.
This really doesn't make sense to me.
The FTP share settings have reset themselves overnight but all users have access to the shares - this is a security issue, I don't want users to have access to files they shouldn't have.
Please help. - Fireblade69AspirantDoes anyone have a fix for this or do we need a firmware update to resolve the issue??
- sjiaoAspirantWhich version did you find the above issue from, i retest the FTP & its permission according your description, not found this question, maybe i midunderstand, could you express it more detail ? Thanks !
- Fireblade69AspirantI have the NV+ v2
Firmware 5.3.5, i.e. the up to date firmware.
I run the raidar off both windows and OSX and have the same problems on both.
FTP share permissions are not working properly. I thought it may be because of a corrupt new username so I tried existing and nothing changed and also new users.
