FTP Problems

I can't get ftp access into my readynas 4.  I'm using open vpn to get into my home network and I have a WD nas on my network as well that is working without issue.

I've tried passive and active mode.  I've tried annonymous and user logins.  I've tried masquarading as my lan ip, my public ip, my network name.  I've tried using all passive ports.  I've tried using a small set of passive ports. The share i want to access is set to read and write for FTP.

Like I mentioned, I don't think firewall or router problems are the issue because I'm using open vpn to get into my network and the WD nas isn't having any issues.

I can use Windows file shares to see and transfer files on the Readynas but it is slow and not as stable as I'd like.
