FTP will not start
Hello All,
My very lightly used ReadyNAS Duo is giving me some trouble. I disabled FTP some time back as the NAS was in a public place, and now that's I've brought it home with me, I'm in need of FTP access for some storage. I re-enabled it in the RAIDar interface, but it just says 'Error starting FTP'. There are no log files that indicate issues. messages and syslog are clean.
Is there a way to manually start using the command line? Is there a way to get debug out of it?
I've used every option that I can set from the user interface, and none work. I'm doing no port-forwarding or anything, it's just on my LAN, and completely vanilla.
Hi Jenn!
I rebooted earlier in the day and it didn't make any difference. There were errors about tcp/bind but I had no idea what caused the port to be occupied. So I upgraded the firmware and rebooted and when it came back up, it worked.

Note: updated firmware to present version, and rebooted. It works, now. Not sure what was preventing the ftp server from starting, but that appears to be resolved for now. I had rebooted earlier, but that didn't fix it like I had hoped. Unsure of the cause.

Hello GaWd,
Sorry, I got confused there, did you reboot and it did not resolve before you updated the firmware?
