Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full
Hi I just installed my ReadyNAS NV+ V2. I'm trying to copy all my music from my PC to the NAS, but I'm getting the error message 0x80070027 all the time and when I just push try again it continues withou problems. Every time I do something on my PC like starting a new program or a simple command i get this error. I also get it when not doing anything else on my computer, just letting the copyjob run.
Its rather frustrating, I cant sit and babywatch the copy job for like 60Gb of data.
My 2x 2TB disks are newly installed and completely empty, so its not the space. In addition i think the copy process is rather slow, im just getting 9 Mb/sec. So is there a way to improve this in addition to an errorfree copy?

- efxiAspirant- I'm all GigE and Cat6 here.
- 2TB Flex-RAID (RAID1)
- Still having the problem. Plenty of free space.
- I'm only doing large files or a few folders of multiple large (1-9GB) files.
- Doing a cut-and-paste from a Windows Server 2003 computer to a Netgear Duo v2.
Can retry seconds after the "disk full" error and the file will copy no problem. - tivrickAspirantI had this issue too with my ReadyNAS NV+ v2 (3x1.5TB) copying files to it from Windows 7 64-bit. I had had no issues with my old ReadyNas Duo V1 before. After reading the posts here, I moved my PC and NV+ into the same switch both running at (auto-detect) 1Gbps and since then have had no issues.
- KeMo1AspirantHi,
I have the same problem, bought my NAS Duo V2 i few days ago at NetOnNet (Sweden). I have tested the NAS (2x2TB) on both Linux, XP and win7 and gets the same problem. It is not any network or OS related problem, it is something wrong inside the NAS software that can't resolve storage and raid when copying massive data to the device. It's not cool, to have this problem, the hole idea with the NAS is to have a storage where to put your downloaded material. What will i do with the NAS if it can't upload my files. I am very dissapointed!!!! If you can't solve this issue with i firmware upgrade-fix or something then i have to write a post on NetOnNet not to buy any NAS manufactured by Netgear. I work professional with computer and storage and i will have problems recommend anyone to buy Netgears NAS-solutions before this issue is solved. Hopefully this post will help putting speed on the solution and if not stop others from bying the faulty equipment.
Kind regards

Swedbank IT - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredKeMo how can you be sure it's not a network problem? Have you tried the troubleshooting steps suggested in this thread and contacted NetGear tech support?
- KeMo1AspirantMDGM, thanx for your reply.
Yes, i have tested the trix in this thread and it didn't helped me :(
I have tested the same disks (SATA 2TB) with just USB-connection and then it was no problem to copy the files even over the network, so there can't be any clean network issue, perhaps a combinated Netgear-NAS/network problem (i also use Netgear as network switch/router). The first test i made was with source disk on USB2 and the destination NAS network-connected with RAID1, then i have tested different setups, different computers and OS but still gets the same disk problem, after that i googled the problem and got here. Of course i can just drop the NAS, put the disk on USB and use a CMD-skript to simulate the RAID1-setup but what is the point of having a NAS then.
Perhaps there is a fix or workaround to this problem but the hole idea with buying a NAS is to have a simple not complex (nice looking), hot swapping backup-solution with no need of a fileshare server to support the storage and with as little problem as possible. :)
I mean no disrespect to anyone or Netgear, i am only a dissapointed customer that happens to like Netgear-products, easiest and least time-consuming for me is just to buy another product. The time spent writing and trying to solve this problem is for me far greater than the cost of just buying another NAS. Not all have that kind of choice and that is why i took the time to give this feedback.
I still hope there will come out a firmware fix that compensate for this problem, so that we don't have to trix us around this bug. If so many have the same issue isn't there something in the support or product that needs some attention? There are other NAS products on the market, they have the same customers with the same skills, same OS, and same type of networks and they don't have this problem. I will buy another NAS and if i still get the same problem then i will belive there is something wrong with my network or other hardware setup but until then the only faulty parameter right now is the netgear-NAS.
Take care and thanks for your time and effort.

- Nutty667AspirantGiven I've read soo many people have this issue with the new V2 units on this site, it has to be a firmware issue with the device. It cant all be peoples network problems.
- JaG1AspirantHi!
My patience came to an end, so I have returned my ReadyNAS to the shop where I bought it.
Will now go for a QNAP NAS, and hope it will work out better.
Good luck to all of you who are waiting for a since long deserved software update! - daveg56AspirantExperienced the same problem copying music files on my V2, needed to babysit the copy process. Same when connection is either direct LAN or wifi. Also 9MB/sec hardwired, which I thought was slow. Not having a great experience with the v2 as can be seen here http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=60862&p=341179#p341179
If things don't improve I'll be sending the device back for a refund. - StephenBGuru - Experienced User9MB/sec hardwired is slow for gigabit, but about right for 100 mbit.
