Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full
Hi I just installed my ReadyNAS NV+ V2. I'm trying to copy all my music from my PC to the NAS, but I'm getting the error message 0x80070027 all the time and when I just push try again it continues withou problems. Every time I do something on my PC like starting a new program or a simple command i get this error. I also get it when not doing anything else on my computer, just letting the copyjob run.
Its rather frustrating, I cant sit and babywatch the copy job for like 60Gb of data.
My 2x 2TB disks are newly installed and completely empty, so its not the space. In addition i think the copy process is rather slow, im just getting 9 Mb/sec. So is there a way to improve this in addition to an errorfree copy?

- EVGreenmanAspirantHaving the same problem as others here so wanted to post my experience as well. I purchased a NV+ v2 back at the end of January and have been trying to get it work with Win 7 ever since. I've had an open ticket with Netgear for the last week who, in my first call noted that they were aware of this problem and were working to find a solution. None has yet been found so, as it appears here, those who have found a solution that worked for them are fortunate. Here are the solutions I've tried based on recommendations of others in this post.
Note that smaller jobs don't have an issue but once the backup processes for more than 1-2 hours and/or more than 60GB, Houston we have a problem.
1) Ran the ReadyNAS direct to a PC. Backup job ran for six hours (a large job so not surprising) and then "failed to write". So, not a network issue per se, but could still be a NIC/ReadyNAS/Win 7 issue.
2) Bypassed my GigE switch and ran the NAS to my router along with the PC. Backup job ran for two hours and then "failed to write".
3) Updated my JumboFrames settings. Backup job ran for two hours and then "failed to write". (NOTE: There are a large number of settings on my NIC which I have not tried, but with a 2-6 hour window per test that seems a bit onerous on the users part).
4) I've run the backup tests with the backup software built into the NAS as well as using a 3rd party application (EaseUS ToDo Workstation) and gotten the same results.
One curious behavior is that when a backup fails all of the previously written files from that backup are deleted even though dozens may have been written successfully prior to the failure point. Not sure if that's being driven by Windows or the EaseUS software I tried, but that definitely qualifies as strange in my book.
No solution yet and more than a little frustrated and disappointed. From others posters this hasn't come up as an issue with other products (First generation NV+) but have seen similar complaints regarding the the new Duo v2 as well. I've got a few more days to figure this out or will be returning it. If I find a solution will post here. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThere is no option to configure Jumbo Frames on the Duo/NV+ v2. I would try disabling Jumbo Frames on your PC and on your switch (if the switch is managed) and see if that helps.
Also trying a direct-connection bypassing even the router is a good thing to try: http://sphardy.com/web/directconnect - EVGreenmanAspirantTo clarify, I tried changing the Jumbo Frames setting on my NIC not on the NV + v2. Further, per point #1, I ran the direct connect and had the same issue.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredTo get the benefit of Jumbo Frames you need it enabled on all devices. With a device not having Jumbo Frames enabled (e.g. a v2) having Jumbo Frames enabled e.g. on the PC if having an effect, is going to cause problems. It may not cause problems, but enabling Jumbo Frames on your PC certainly won't help.
- EVGreenmanAspirantFair enough. I had modified the default setting (disabled) to test and see if it made a difference but whether disabled or not it displayed the issue.
- JMFoxAspirantI'm not completely CAT6'd. Getting this issue with volume copy of jpg's, Avi's, MP3's - have resorted to specify a 2 sec wait time in robocopy, specied option "/W:2"
W:n : Wait time between retries - default is 30 seconds.
with ok results thus far - not impressed though - bought V2 instead of V1 owing to better cooling, transfer speeds, compatibility etc but the feature set and performance thus far is pretty disappointing.. - petoivAspirantI have the same issue with my new NV+V2.
I'l hope Netgear fixes this problem fast.  - ShakeyBobWillisAspirant+1 on this problem. Copying my mp3 library to the ReadyNas Duo v2 has been a nightmare since you have to babysit it to watch for the rive full error. I've tried direct link and through the router. Just chiming in to get attached to this thread so I can find out when they fix the problem in their firmware. Gotta say that the v2 line was clearly not ready for prime time release. But that seems to bee SOP for hardware and software developers nowadays. Release it and fix all the problems later. That's all fine an good when it's free software off the internet but a lot different when I'm forking over a couple hundred dollars on a piece of hardware.
- nickkearnsukAspirantI Have the same issue
ReadyNas Duo v2
Firmware. 5.3.3
Copying JPG from Laptop to NAS every other file i get the Error 0x80070027: Disk is full and a try again option, hit try again and it moves on to the next file and same again. Files are 4 - 5Mb each; (only 200 files in this batch) had the same problem with MP3 files as well, copying a total 60,000 files from old unit to new NAS. for an off the shelf product i would not expect this issue and have been thinking i may send this unit back and go with a different vendor. - MichaelCH619Aspirant+1 for me too.
ReadyNas NV+ v2
Firmware 5.3.3
Unit was just reset to factory default
PC OS is Win7-64bit
