Google TV?
Hi,
I currently have a ReadyNAS NVX storing a movie library. My movies are in ISO format, and I'm playing them with an XBMC/Boxee HTPC over SMB. Does anyone know if the Logitech Revue (or other Google TV hardware) will recognize an SMB share? If so, will it play ISO files? I know we're talking about a product that hasn't been released yet, but these seem like important questions that Google and Logitech have yet to answer.
Thanks,
Chris

- sphardy1ApprenticeEverything I've read suggests that local connectivity will be via DLNA, in which case file format compatibility may be extremely limited.

outlook unclear - johnhattanAspirantNot working here. I have DLNA service running, but the Revue isn't finding it. Dunno if anyone else is having better luck.
- NeuroRipAspirantI just got my Google TV and am thus far having a very difficult time playing any movies from my ReadyNAS Duo v2. Still trying things out and have the
PS3 as a backup, but it could be a deal killer for me. - EdwardCaseyAspirantGoogle TV is a Smart TV platform from Google. It was announced on May 20, 2010.All android application also support Google TV application. Its very nice application of Google.
- kllngtmeAspirantThe DLNA service on the Readynas does not support ISO files so that'd be the first thing where you won't be able to play iso's but no, Google TV does not support ISO files at this time. I use a WDTV live to use ISO's and it works flawlessly.
- NeuroRipAspirantAs a follow-up, the update to Android really helped with playing media files. I also did some mass chmods to fix some Win 7 issues. In addition, I got a Free player (aVia) from the Android Market and then ultimately settled on the paid GTVBox app. Ugly interface, but it plays everything I throw at it.
Now that my permissions are good, I may try aVia again as its interface was very nice. I want to try Plex, but it doesn't seem to have good reviews on GTV. - NeuroRipAspirantForgot to mention, get Reedux for GoogleTV... Wow, just wow, so many amazing things in that app to watch. I'm stunned at how varied it is.
