Hard drive(Hitachi) with Apple Firmware used for Readynas?
Hi. I purchased a used hard drive and I just found out that it had been used in some strange type of computer called an Apple( like the fruit) and it was suppose to have special firmware for this ...
You can check with Hitachi support to see if your disk has custom firmware. Knowing Apple it does.
I don't recommend buying used disks. The only time i will ever buy used disks is for older SCSI systems where disks are no longer avail new.
