Harddisk slows down during sharing files.
I got a WD 10EZRX Harddrive
It seems like its in a sleeping mode or something if i download or upload to the nas. sometimes i got 30-40mb/s and most of the times i got around 8-10mb/s.
How is this possible.

- That disk is not on the compatibility list. Caviar Green disks are not designed for RAID use. Due to the Green features of the disk, the disk would be stopping and starting itself a lot. You can run WDIDLE3 on the disk if you hook it up to a PC or if you are comfortable with Linux shell commands you can run idle3-tools on the NAS to change the WDIDLE3 timer setting.
