Hardware Errors on Mirrored 750GB Seagate Disk on NV+(4.1.6)
Hi All, I'm running 2 x 750 GB Seagate drives (as originally supplied on the NV+) one of which is exhibiting drive errors. The NV+ reports current config as under: Online, X-RAID, 2 disks, 71...
I just reformatted the WD 2TB in Slot3 as it was giving substantial errors with the NV+, and reinstalled it into Slot2, with the new firmware in place.
It is now doing an expandable X-RAID intialization, which is great!
The down aspect of this is that the NV+ probably fried the other WD Black 2TB (brandy-new too!) and this is why it's running hot.
Could be a problem with the USB SATA enclosure?? Shows a date of 2007...
Would WD give me a new drive under their guarantee if it's running hot (but drive is accessible?)
