Having issue with slowness and high disk queue is Windows 2019
Hello,
Let me start off with Moderators if this is in the wrong catagory please move it to the correct one.
I recently have set up this RN422X124 ReadyNAS using ISCSI connected directly into a Windows 2019 server. Currently there is one Hyper-V VM runnng on this server and all the VM information is stored on this NAS. Also the server is a new replica server and the replication data is stored on the NAS. The VM will be moved to a different server in the near future but more servers will be replicating to this server and NAS.
My Issue I'm having is with slowness and windows resource monitor showing the disk queue going up into the 270 range at times and the VM is very slow to open for service and use. I have paused all replications to see if that was the issue but it didn't change. The NAS is conneected to the server directly through ethernet cable using ISCSI. I admit I'm new to setting the NAS up and which is the best way for how we're using it.
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me solve the issue I'm having. Let me know what other information is needed.
Thank you,
Jeremy

Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
More info
I'm connecting to the ReadyNas using an Intel X540-T2 card at 10gb. I updated the intel drivers today but still has disk queueing. I did see it hit over 540 today once.

Maybe try setting up a share on the NAS, and testing throughput with large file transfers? You could also confirm the network quality/speed by enabling ssh and installing iperf on the NAS.
What RAID mode are you using? Also, what disks? How big is the iSCSI LUN?
