help on new modem /router, nas disappears
hi guys, had the readynas running for 2 years no problems at all, just switched suppliers & on fibre optic with BT & new modem with home hub 3-----i browse my nas through a denon receiver to play musi...

Unfortunately if you search this forum you will find many similar reports with the common factor being the BT Homehub.
It appears the BT provided devices do not 'play nice' when it comes to devices advertising themselves via DLNA (which I presume you are trying to use) or mDNS (used heavily by Mac users). Given your previous setup working well, it would appear that the Homehub is likely the source of your problem also. (FYI: I have a similar ISP provided router that has exactly the same issue)
You may wish to search the Homehub configuration to see if there are any options related to multicasting or broadcasting, possibly UPnP also, that you could play with to see if they help - I've seen reports of similar problems with Dlink routers, but they tend to have an option that can be enabled to fix this.
If that doesn't work, your only real option is to put a more suitable switch or another router in front of your Homehub
