Disappearing SSID nighthawk be9300

I’m hoping someone here can help; every time I power cycle my router the SSID completely disappears and I can’t find it on any of our devices. Before turning off and on again everything is fine and connected to the internet etc. talked to customer support and they suggested factory reset. It’s updated to the latest firmware and I have factory reset multiple times, which fixes the issue, but as soon as I turn it off and on again the same problem occurs. (Reason for power cycling was trying to fix son’s Xbox connection, and subsequently have been retrying mostly out of disbelief). I have power cycled using the physical button, unplugging fully for a minute, and also rebooting using the app. I don’t have a computer with an Ethernet port if this is relevant. I am so disappointed with this experience and hoping this is fixable.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

Which RS model do you have? RS###

How is the wireless configured on the router.

Might pick up a USB to ethernet adapter if you have a computer that doesn't have ethernet port to access the routers web page.

I'd keep in contact with NG support and update them on continuing problems. Ask about an RMA.

    Hi Ru123,

Do you use the same SSID for all the 3 bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz)? Is that the SSID for all bands disappeared or just certain bands?

After you rebooted the router, you didn't see your SSID, but did you see the default SSID?

I have tried both ways, and they disappear either way. The default also disappears, there’s no way to find or reconnect at all without factory reset.
